Cellier des Dauphins again awarded by DECANTER in 2020!

This year, no less than 8 Cellier des Dauphins cuvées were awarded by DECANTER World Wine Awards. These wines, spread over the Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages and Cru appellations, all obtained scores greater than or equal to 90/100 points. Among the medal-winning cuvées, we obviously find the new vintage of our emblematic Cellier des Dauphins Côtes du Rhône Réserve Rouge.

We invite you to discover the tasting comments made by the jury for the 2020 edition of the DECANTER World Wine Awards below.

Réserve red 2019 (90/100 points) : Smoky aromas of spice and redcurrant, while the palate is vibrant with Summer fruit, black olive, cherry and seductive oak.

Réserve rosé 2019 (90/100 points) : Pretty, vibrant aromas of raspberry on the nose, then sappy redcurrant and a citrus tang to the palate.

Origine Bio with no added sulfur rouge 2019 (90/100 points) : Spiced nose, with hints of herb, blackberry and violet, then a palate of rich fruit and creamy, sculpted tannins.

Origine Bio red 2019 (91/100 points) : Heady, smoky aromas of blackberry and floral noted lead to a palate of dark cherry, pepper and supple tannins.

CDR Villages Valréas red 2018 (91/100 points) : Lifted and bright, with raspberry, glossy blackberry and garrigue, then to cherry and spice on the generous, plush palate.

CDR Villages Puyméras red 2018 (91/100 points) : Perfumed with hints of raspberry, cinnamon and blackberry, while the palate is rich with damson, liquorice and spiced oak.

CDR Villages Plan de Dieu red 2018 (90/100 points) : Toasty and inviting, with layered aromas of vanilla, spice and floral herb, palate is rich with smoke, berry and seductive oak.

Cru Cairanne red 2018 (90/100 points) : Plush and inviting, with vanilla, raspberry, spice and cassis leading on to a palate of dark damson and seductive oak.
