This year, the climatic conditions allowed the grapes to reach their optimum maturity more quickly, so we started the harvest several days in advance.
The white and rosé harvests began the week of August 15 on the warmest terroirs, particularly in Suze-la-Rousse, Sérignan and Tulette. The grapes are picked at dawn to preserve all their potential and freshness. Directly after harvest, they are gently pressed to optimize wine colour and complexity of the aromas. Then, we control the fermentation temperature to reveal all their richness.
The terroirs located at higher altitudes will be harvested later, in Vinsobres, Nyons or Puyméras for example.
To sum up, 2022 harvest promises to be very qualitative, with concentrated and healthy berries. Reasonable humidity level and the presence of the Mistral definitly helped to have a healthy vine.
